  • “Europcar” fills in the vehicle fleet!

The largest transnational car-hire company “Europcar” in the numerous branch offices in the whole Europe has 193 000 cars, including 40 000 cars in Germany. In an attempt to satisfy the most different preferences of clients in car-rent, “Europcar” constantly updates its fleet. However in 2009 because of the global financial and economic crisis and as the result — the fall in customer demands — the volume of purchases of new cars was reduced by 20%. But now the demand in a car rent has essentially increased thanks to the improvement of the economic situation. And because of these factors this year “Europcar” intends to buy in Germany more than 80 000 new cars for replenishment and updating their vehicle fleet. It was declared on July, 16th by the head of German “Europcar” branch office Roland Kepler.

According to his words, as a result of stabilization of an economic situation has significantly increased the number of official trips of businessmen, as well as the number of the private persons renting a car. For example, in 2010 “Europcar” turnover in Germany has increased by almost 5% and has made 534 million euro. The growth proceeds during this year too, completing the first half of the year with a very good performance.

According to R.Kepler, the big limousines are not so popular among the “Europcar” clients, as it was before. Now people — 60 to 70 % of customers — prefer to rent small and budget cars. Being guided by their interests, “Europcar” significantly expands purchases of new vehicles in this class for their fleet, said the representative of “Europcar”.
