BMW announced new four-door 6-Series Coupe
BMW revealed official information about 6-Series Gran Coupe four-door concept. It is made for such clients as Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7 buyers, looks very much like its prototype and will appear on the market in the mid-2012.
It was first shown at Beijing Motor Show nearly two years ago by the name Gran Coupe. Four-door 6-Series modification slightly differs by its size from similar vehicles: it is longer and higher than 6-Series and is fitted with extended wheelbase.
It will be produced with three kinds of turbo engines (two petrol engines and one diesel): 6V 3.0L 320hp, the most high-powered: V8 4.4L 450hp and 3.0L 313hp turbodiesel.
The fastest Gran Coupe sprints 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds. This result is shown by 650i and 640d, but lowest fuel consumption has diesel modification: 5.5 litres per 100km. All models are fitted with equal eight-speed automatic gearbox but in the future Gran Coupe will be available with 4-wheel drive.
