Europeans are not in a hurry to buy electric cars!

Despite government grants, electric car sales in Europe are on a very low level. Such conclusions marketing agency JATO Dynamics got, based on electric car sell results analysis in the first half of 2011. In 15 EU countries, where electric cars are presented, from january to june 2011 were sold 5222 of these vehicles. Most of all were realized in Germany (1020 electric cars), but least of all – in Romania (2).
As agency representatives mentioned, research demonstrates that amount of government support doesn't affect consumer decision of buying a car. In Germany government grant is only € 380, one of the lowest in EU. At the same time in Denmark, where government compensates electric car buyers € 20 600, were sold only 283 electric cars in six months.
