Here comes the new Mini Roadster

British company MINI continues its experiments with modifications of its small car. From now on Mini launches Roadster – two-seat open car. In one way it is similar to four-seat Mini Cabrio, but in other way they differ not only by the number of car seats.
The main difference is its style, of course. Mini Roadster looks more dynamic due to its new wind screen and body proportions, and has twice larger trunk (240 L) than Cabrio, because of rear seat absence. Folding roof opens manually from the driver's seat and hides at special space behind the seats.
There will be three 1.6 L engine versions of a new car: with 122, 184 and 211 hp and also 2.0 L version with 143 hp. Depending on modification, Mini Roadster will be available with six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
On European market this car appears next summer and will cost from € 22 600 (which is € 1 400 more expensive than Coupe, but € 950 cheaper than Cabrio) to € 31 900 for the top version.
