Koenigsegg sets a new World Record!
Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg Automotive AB has received confirmation from representatives of Guinness World Records about the new world record (5th from Koenigsegg). At this time the standard Koenigsegg Agera R faster, than any car in the history run from 0 to 300 km / h and then slowed down to zero in 21.19 (!) seconds.
Arrivals to set the record took place at the Koenigsegg landfill in Ängelholm on September 2, 2011. Agera R accelerates the eight-cylinder engine capacity of 5 liter twin-turbo, making 1099 hp and issuing a 1200 Nm of torque. The car has an automatic seven-speed gearbox with two clutches. Koenigseggs maximum is 390 km /hour. At the same time this monster consumes only 14.7 liters per 100 kilometers!
The creator of the company, Christian von Koenigsegg, said that the car performed better than its creators had hoped. During the tests Koenigsegg got the following figures:
0-300 km / h = 14.53 sec
0-200 mph = 17.68 sec
300-0 km / h = 6.66 sec
200-0 mph = 7.28 sec
0-300-0 km / h = 21.19 sec
0-200-0 mph = 24.96 sec
