  • New Porsche 911 Cabriolet

Porsche announced its new model – Cabriolet on the base of Porsche 911 new generation, which was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The main feature of new cabrio is its roof. It is innovative, soft, entirely preserves the authentic outline of the sports car and can be laid down in 11 sec at a speed of 60km/h. It is made of such modern light materials as magnesium and composite panels. This technology makes the roof harder.

Cabrio will be fit up with the same engines as 911 Carrera Coupe: 350hp 3.4-litre opposed engine and 3.8-litre 6V 400hp engine for the S version with seven-speed manual transmission. Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), which cuts fuel consumption and improves dynamic characteristics, is optional.

Premiere of the new Cabriolet is announced on Detroit Auto Show in January 2012. It will appear on the market in Spring. Carrera Cabrio will cost €100 532 and Carrera S Cabrio – €114 931.
