The greenest CAR!
The winner of the contest, organized by the American magazine “Green Car”, was announced at the Motor Show in Los Angeles, which was opened today, November 18.
Honda Civic with the engine running on natural gas, has managed to bypass the other four candidates, among whom was the electric version of Ford Focus, electro-car Mitsubishi i-MiEV, a hybrid minivan Toyota Prius V, as well as the diesel Volkswagen Passat.
Models were evaluated by a special jury, which included the editors from “Green Car”, a famous TV presenter Jay Leno, a driver and engineer Carroll Shelby, the president of the Council for the Protection of Natural Resources Francis Beyneke and the chairman of one of the largest organizations in the United States for environmental protection from Sierra Club Carl Pope.
