  • The Nürburgring: so close, so Hamilton!

F1 German Grand prix at the famous Nürburgring was pretty exciting. The leader of the race was changed several times, but the victory was gained by representative of the McLaren team: Lewis Hamilton. The second came Fernando Alonso and the third was Mark Webber.

For the third time in this season Webber got the Pole position, however the Australian man couldn't take advantage of it again. From the first second and until the first pit-stop Lewis Hamilton got the leader position. Webber and Alonso were behind him. These three started the fight for the Victory in German Grand prix.

After the first pit-stop series Webber got the leadership. Between three pilots were only 2-3 seconds. The first second stop was made by Webber, a lap later – by Hamilton. Hamilton left boxes directly ahead of Red Bull pilot. After another lap Alonso went to his pit-stop and had great chances to get the leadership, but Lewis on outer radius has passed Ferrari pilot on the second turn. After that leaders were more cautious and silent.

All three had to go to a new pit-stop for new hard tires. But who risked the first? According to the forecast new tires will give 3 seconds lead and at times, when pilots share 2-3 seconds – it is a pretty nice point.

14 laps to go and Vitaly Petrov has gone for new hard tires: it gave the Russian the power to be faster. The first of leaders 9 laps until finish Hamilton goes to have the third pit-stop. On hard tires McLaren pilot started to be much faster, than Webber and Alonso on soft. Besides, on the penultimate lap the British man has showed a lap record.

As a result – Hamilton finished first, after 4 seconds finished Alonso and the last from this trio finished Mr. Webber.
