Tourist flow to Spain grew rapidly in 2011
Tourist industry in Spain increased at year-end: total number of international tourists will amount 56.8 million which is 8% better than last year. The main reason for it is so called “Arab spring” on the Middle East which made large amount of tourists travel to Spain but not to Egypt, Tunisia etc.
According to forecasts, number of tourists and their expense amount will be the same as it was before economic crisis. Besides, international tourist flow in this year's fourth quarter can grow by 8.4% in comparison with analogical period of the last year and guest expenses – by 13.2%, running to €11 billion. Tourist industry's income is going to be €53.5 billion which is 9.8% more than in 2010.
