Toyota is ready to return to top spot in car sales
Everyone at Toyota already forgot about 2011 aftermath of the earthquake and plan to become the world leader in car sales again, expecting 20% sales growth in 2012. And in 2013 three Toyota brands (Toyota, Lexus and Scion) plan to manufacture and sell 8.95 million cars.
In 2011 Japanese car industry faced several serious problems, first of all – natural disasters, which forced Toyota significantly cut production level. As a result, in 2011 Toyota would not be able to manufacture 8 million cars, staying at 7.9 million mark. Due to this, Toyota will take third place in car manufacturers rate right after GM and Volkswagen.
Toyota has major growth at India and Brazil markets and mainly because of this Japanese car manufacturer is ready to cut its own record of 8,430,000 sold cars in 2008 already next year. But it is not known yet, what GM and Volkswagen think about that.
