    Please, have in mind that when you pick up your car, it is required by the local supplier to leave a security deposit for the vehicle. It means that form of an amount (minimum: Excess + Fuel + VAT) is being blocked on the primary drivers credit card. (Switch, Maestro, cash deposits and debit cards are acceptable in rare cases, so please make sure you call us if this facility is required for you)

    At the Car Rental Counter...

    make sure, you have the following

    • Read all insurance details and additional insurances paid and agreed for at the counter carefully.

    Before your leave the Rental Car Agent

    1.Check, isn't the car damagedInform the supplier representative about any damages not shown on the rental agreement at once in the car park or at the desk. Ensure they sign off the damage on the rental agreement before driving your car.
    2.Make sure that all requested additional equipment is includedCheck the equipment to ensure it meets the requirements. If there are any issues, please bring them to the supplier notice. For any additional equipment you must pay at the desk.
    3. Check the route of your journey Check the equipment to ensure it is adequate for your needs. Any issues please bring them to the supplier representative for a map or advice if needed.

    When returning the Car to an Agent

    1.Check for damagesIn case there are any damages, necessarily bring it to the representative’s notice. Feel free to ask them about any charges they consider necessary and get it in writing.
    2.Make sure that supplier representative signs off the drop-offIt is very important to ensure that rental agreement is signed off by the supplier representative. Try to leave yourself enough time before the flight.

    Voucher

    Voucher is your contract for Rental is between you and the supplier. The voucher supplied by Economybookings.com is used to show that you have booked and paid-for the vehicle as shown on that voucher. If the booking is cancelled, the voucher is void.You must produce your voucher on arrival at rental counter.Failure to give the rental agent your voucher means Economybookings.com cannot be held responsible for any additional charges.

    What documents are required for picking up the car?

     

    • Driving license;

    What are the requirements for a driving license?

     

    • Minimum driving age – 21 (for some car classes – 25);
    • Maximum driving age – 75;
    • Minimum driving experience – 2 years.
    In order to avoid a possible refusal in providing a booked car, we strongly recommend to complete an international driving license in time.

     

    What bank cards are accepted for payment?

     

    The car hire may be paid by VISA Classic/Gold, AMEX, MASTERCARD. Two credit cards are required for some of the luxury class cars.
    Visa Electron, Maestro and Diners cards are not accepted for payment.

     

    Can I pay for my booking in cash?

     

    No, cash is not accepted. You can pay for your booking only by VISA Classic/Gold, AMEX, MASTERCARD.

     

    Can I pay by a business-card?

     

    No, only driver's personal credit card may be used to pay for the booking.

     

    Can I pay for the booking by other person's card?

     

    Yes, but in that case this person should be registered as an additional driver and must be present when receiving a car.

     

    How do I know where to pick up the car?

     

    The name of a car hire company and a pick up address will be specified in your voucher after the reservation is confirmed. The voucher will be sent to you by e-mail after the prepayment is made.

     

    Is a pledged sum blocked on a credit card?

     

    Yes, according to international requirements, car hire company blocks a pledged sum on customer's credit card at the time of picking up the car.

     

    How quickly will the deposit be unblocked?

     

    It takes from 3 to 28 days to unblock the deposit. In some cases we recommend you to get in touch with your bank in order to quicken the unblocking process.

     

    Is it possible to cut down the deposit?

     

    Some companies provide such an opportunity. It is possible to cut down the deposit by half or completely by purchasing a super insurance.

     

    Is it possible to pick up the car after the specified time?

     

    You must appear at the car rental location on schedule, but sometimes you may be an hour late. In case of a delay please contact the car hire company or economybookings.com to specify the pick up time.

     

    May I pick up the car out of hours?

     

    Yes, but the car hire company may require an additional charge for picking up the car out of hours.

     

    Is it necessary to specify the flight number?

     

    If you pick up the car at the airport, we strongly recommend you to specify the flight number at the time of making a booking. This information is important for a car hire company in order to prepare the car in time. Sometimes the car can be delivered to the airport. If you don't know your flight number at the time of booking, then inform about it at least in 72 hours before picking up.

     

    May I pay the whole sum when picking up the car?

     

    In order to guarantee the cost of the rental and the presence of a car you must make a prepayment, the amount of which depends on the car hire company terms and conditions. The prepayment amount will be mentioned on the website after you choose the car.

     

    How is currency converted when paying?

     

    All payments made in national currency are converted according to the local currency rate. Economybookings.com is not responsible for the currency conversion made by the bank.

     

    How can I know the brand, color and fuel type of the car?

     

    According to the car rental terms, the brand, color and fuel type of the car are not guaranteed. The car brand is specified in a booking confirmation for the information purpose. We can inform the car hire company about your preferences in order to take all your wishes into account.

     

    What is the fuel politics of the car hire company?

     

    The cars are provided with a full tank almost in all countries and must be dropped off with the same amount of fuel. The customer must pay for the missing fuel according to a fuel tariff of the car hire company. In Spain, Portugal and USA the cars may be provided with a completely prepaid tank – the cost of a full tank will be added to the rental cost and must be paid for when picking up. In that case it is not necessary to fill the tank with fuel when dropping it off.

     

    Is it possible to deliver the car to a hotel?

     

    If you inform beforehand, then delivery to the specified address is possible. When you book a car, mention it in "comments".

     

    When and how is it possible to book and pay for extras?

     

    All extras must be booked at a time of making a car reservation. They should be paid for at the pick up location according to rates pointed out in confirmation. Economybookings.com is not responsible for availability of extras so please make sure they are on hand.

     

    Can I refuse from some of the extras when picking up the car?

     

    You can both order specific extras additionally and refuse from them when picking up the car.

     

    How many days before the rental can I change my booking?

     

    Changes may be accepted via e-mail or by phone not later than 72 hours before the start of a rental and the sum is calculated according to existing rates and availability of cars at the moment of making changes. We recommend you to check all the data carefully before booking and have in mind that if you make changes several days before the start of a rental we cannot guarantee its confirmation.

     

    How can I change my booking? Should I make a new booking?

     

    It is not necessary to make a new booking. You should contact economybookings.com either via e-mail or by phone to make changes. Your booking will be changed and confirmation will be sent to you by e-mail.

     

    Should I pay for making changes?

     

    You can change your booking for free and you need to contact us either via e-mail or by phone. In this case you pay just a difference for extension of the reservation or extras adding.

     

    Is it possible to return the car ahead of time?

     

    Yes, but if you drop off the car before the specified time you won't get money for the unused time.

     

    Who is responsible for fines and violations?

     

    You are responsible for all fines and violations during a car hire. The car hire company has a right to surcharge you with the sum of fine and administration fees.

     

    May I contact you if I have problems with picking up the car?

     

    Yes, you may contact us by phones which you can find on our website. We work 24/7 and support our customers before, during and after the rental.

     

    How can I cancel my booking?

     

    You can cancel your booking by contacting us by phone or by sending an e-mail, mentioning the reservation number and the reason of cancellation.

     

    Will I get my prepayment back if I cancel the reservation?

     

    If you cancel your reservation no later than 48 hours before the rental then prepayment will be returned to you in 14 days from the time of a cancellation. If the booking was canceled less than 48 hours then prepayment won't be returned.
    Besides, the prepayment sum won't be returned in case you cancel the reservation that was made and confirmed less than 72 hours before the rental. If the customer does not cancel the booking and does not inform economybookings.com about the cancellation, does not arrive to the car hire location and does not hire a car, then payment may amount to 100% of reservation cost.

     

     

    «CANCEL PROTECTION»

    «Cancel Protection» option gives you an opportunity to cancel your booking at any time before the start of a car rental. By purchasing it just for € 10 you are guaranteed to get back your prepayment no matter what the rental cost and duration is.

    «CANCEL PROTECTION» VALIDITY PERIOD

    Option is valid from the moment you've purchased it up to the start of your rental period or the cancellation moment.

    «CANCEL PROTECTION» RESTRICTIONS

    «Cancel Protection» is not valid:

    • If you cancel your booking after the rental period has already started
    • If you cancel your booking because some of your required documents are missing when formalizing a rental agreement on-site

    HOW TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING

    We understand that your plans may change so if you have to give up on your trip and you would like to cancel your booking, go to «My order» section, enter your email used for making a reservation and confirmation number, sign in and click «Cancel» to confirm the cancellation. You can also cancel your booking by giving us a call. That done, you will receive email confirming that your reservation has been canceled.
    You get all your prepayment back in 30 days after the cancellation moment.

     

    REFUNDABLE EXCESS

    ABOUT BOOKING GROUP REFUNDABLE EXCESS

    Booking Group Refundable Excess reimburses extra costs car rental company will apply to a renter in case of an accident, theft or car keys loss for € 5.67 per day no matter of vehicle class and season, but depending on rental length from 1 to 30 days. Make sure you read this policy carefully to know which losses in particular it covers during its validity period. Refundable Excess is a deal between renter and Booking Group, it do not replace standart insurance policy with the car rental company, credit card preautorization procedure still will apply during pick up.

    REFUNDABLE EXCESS VALIDITY PERIOD

    Insurance is valid from the start of your rental period till its end according to your rental agreement.

    AREA OF COVERAGE

    Worldwide (except Afghanistan, Cuba, Congo, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Sudan and Zimbabwe).

    REFUNDABLE EXCESS REIMBURSEMENT

    In order to cover your excess we need you to provide us with:

    • All the necessary documentary evidence (including photo and video materials if there are any) concerning accident, theft or loss circumstances;
    • Witness statements in writing;
    • Detailed description of the accident and its causes, confirmed where applicable by police report;

    Your excess will be covered only if your age is between 25 and 70 at the moment of your policy issue.

    REFUNDABLE EXCESS APPLIES TO

    • Damages of the rental car, received as a result of an accident, and car theft during car rental period will be covered by Booking Group up to the amount of € 750;
    • Damage of the rental car due to a theft of Your personal possessions will be covered by Booking Group up to the amount of € 750. Please note that Booking Group takes no responsibility for client`s personal possessions left in the car;
    • Damages, loss or theft of the keys during the rental period will be covered by Booking Group up to the amount of € 200;

    Necessary report to the police within 24 hours from the time of an accident or from the time you've found out the theft or loss, and get police report in writing.

    REFUNDABLE EXCESS DOES NOT COVER:

    Vehicle damages received as a result of weather conditions or cleaning process;
    Vehicle damages received as a result of war, terrorism, revolution, epidemic, radiation;
    Vehicle damages received as a result of your illegal, inaccurate and careless actions or inappropriate use (for example, if you filled up the car with a wrong type of fuel or if you left the car with the lights on and as a result its battery was discharged);
    Loss or damage of documents, personal money and travel tickets;
    Broken or damaged sports and technical equipment

    HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

    Contact us via e-mail *support@bookinggroup.com* as soon as possible and provide us with full information and as much documents and evidence, confirming your insurable event, including:

    Rental agreement;
    Documents confirming your travel period;
    Photo and video materials;
    Driving license copy of the person being at the wheel of the insured rental vehicle at the moment of the accident;

    FULL EXCESS PROTECTION

    ABOUT BOOKING GROUP FULL EXCESS PROTECTION

    'Booking Group Full Excess Protection' is an additional policy which protects you against excess charges, it costs you just € 10.49 per day. In case an insurable event occurs during your car rental period, Booking Group covers your excess up to the amount of € 3,000.

    FULL EXCESS PROTECTION VALIDITY PERIOD

    Full Excess Protection is valid for rentals at the maximum duration of 45 days. It has to be purchased prior to the start of the rental, the cover begins on the specified pick up date and ends when the rental car is returned.

    AREA OF COVERAGE

    Worldwide (except Afghanistan, Cuba, Congo, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Sudan and Zimbabwe).

    FULL EXCESS PROTECTION APPLIES TO:

    Damages of the rental car, received as a result of the traffic accident, including damages of windows, mirrors, tyres, roof and undercarriage; Rental car theft; Damage of the rental car received due to a theft of your personal possessions. Please note that Booking Group takes no responsibility for your personal possessions left in the car; Damages, loss or theft of keys during the rental period;
    * Necessarily report to the police within 24 hours from the time of an accident or from the time you've found out the theft and get police report in writing.

    FULL EXCESS PROTECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO:

    Car damages received as a result of your illegal and negligent actions, drunk driving, use of drugs or inappropriate activities (for example, if you filled up the car with a wrong type of fuel or if you left the car with the lights on and as a result its battery was discharged); Car damages received as a result of weather conditions or cleaning process; Car damages received as a result of war, terrorism, revolution, epidemic, radiation; Theft or damage of personal possessions, e.g. documents, cash, travel tickets, sports and technical equipment
