  • Aston Martin and Porsche announce unexpected car models

    Hot Pic Title

Two world famous car makers at once are working on absolutely unusual car models for them: Aston Martin plans to release SUV and Porsche may soon introduce a station wagon.

The first ever Aston Martin SUV will be built based on the Lagonda concept car. But the company assures that production version will not be so massive as its prototype introduced in 2009. The car will be much more elegant, but from the technical point of view everything remains the same. Lagonda was made based on the platform of enormous Mercedes-Benz GL fitted with an V12 engine.

And Porsche in its turn is going to introduce a big five-door station wagon built on the platform of Panamera. Rumors had it a while ago that Porsche is going to expand Panamera family with some new model. And if it previously seemed that Porsche will make a large coupe, then now it is much more possible that it is going to be a station-wagon after all, because this market segment grows rapidly in recent years.

This model already has rivals – for example, Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake. But it is noteworthy, that Porsche station wagon will be first introduced no sooner than in 2015.
