According to forecasts, the new car will be fitted with an all-wheel drive system and will compete with a new Range Rover but at the same time some of the experts consider that the class of a car will be higher and its main competitors will be upcoming Bentley and Maserati SUVs.

Audi has already started a survey among its customers in order to know how much are they interested in purchasing of this model. And according to first results, annual volume of Q8 manufacturing could be at least 25,000 cars.

It is expected that this cross coupe will be 300 kilos lighter than Q7 because of the extensive use of aluminum. The new Audi will be fitted with an engine range of six- and eight cylinder petrol and diesel engines and a hybrid version as well.

Cross coupe is on the final stage of development at the time which means that it will hit the market approximately in 2017.
