    Hot Pic Title

A British manufacturer of luxury vehicles Bentley more actively moves toward more «green» and economic technologies. It already prepared and started testing first prototypes of diesel engine models for a sedan and the upcoming SUV.

Bentley does not have a wide selection of engines yet. A «global» 3L V6 TDI is too small (from the image-building point of view as well) and crazy 6L 500hp V12 TDI does not correspond with an upcoming ecological standards. So, according to forecasts, it will be an V8 400hp diesel engine that will appear on Audi A8 next year.

In addition to diesel engines, new Bentley cars will be fitted with hybrid engines. It will in particular concern an upcoming first ever Bentley SUV. Relatively soon the company will withdraw from the legendary V8 6.75L petrol engine as well. It will happen with a premium sedan's next generation appearance.

It is noteworthy, that while Bentley announces the use of diesel engines and hybrid technologies, their rivals Rolls-Royce moved in the opposite direction. For example, customers and fans of Rolls-Royce were not impressed with an idea of using diesel engines on these cars and does not agree to buy any diesel Rolls-Royce cars.
