  • BMW introduces modernized ConnectedDrive System

    German automobile manufacturing company BMW announced the new media system for its models fitted with a SIM card slot and new Appstore opportunities. ConnectedDrive service with speech recognition and emergency aid service will be provided on 25 markets of the world.

    According to BMW engineers, updated ConnectedDrive System will move automobile Infotainment Systems to a completely new dimension. In the first place, it will be possible to fit most of new BMW models with a SIM card slot. As a result, customers will be able to choose the appropriate mobile services provider.

    The company will also provide ConnectedDrive service on 14 markets more bringing up the number where the multimedia is being provided to 25. The new BMW technics differs with improved interface, speech recognition technology and several other functions such as emergency aid, which alerts emergency services about road accidents and transmits the location of the car and information on accident severity.

    Besides, BMW ConnectedDrive will impress with a new Store providing such Apps as Deezer, Napster, Rhapsody, Pandora Radio and Glympse. BMW will also provide the new online music service giving access to 12 million tracks and more than 250 online-channels.
