  • BMW introduces new M6

    At The International Geneva Motor Show from March 8th till 18th BMW Company will introduce new BMW M6 coupe and convertible. It stands to mention such new models' upgrades as a new front bumper, front wings with air diffusers, wider wheel housing, doubled exhaust pipe connection and rear diffuser. Coupe's roof is made of carbon, but hood and doors – of aluminium.

    Saloon has also been changed. Both models are now fit with front sports seats with electric actuator and personal adjustment memory function. Active head restraints are used for whiplash injury prevention is case of hit from behind. On the central console are located 10.2-inch touch screen display iDrive and audio system Bang & Olufsen.

    There are also 19-inch alloy wheels with low-profile tyres 265/40 at the front and 295/35 at the back on the cars. After it was reworked, mounting became lower.

    New BMW M6 is fast, but rather thrifty car. It picks up the speed of 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds thanks to its 4.4L V8 560hp turbo engine. Therewith, M6 fuel consumption is moderate for a such class vehicle: engineers increased engine power by 10%, but at the same time managed to decrease fuel consumption and emission by 30%. As a result, BMW M6 coupe's fuel consumption is 9.9L/100km and convertible's – 10.3L/100km. CO2 emission – 232 and 239 g/km respectively.

    New BMW M6 will appear on the market in summer 2012.
