Fiat announced an all-wheel drive modification of its Fiat Panda next generation that will be officially introduced at the Paris Motor Show 2012. The car was changed as technically as exteriorly and will be available with two kinds of engines.

Fiat designers slightly elaborated front and rear bumpers that were decorated “in the manner of aluminum”. According to company representatives, this solution will bring into focus the presence of metal safety protection under the bottom side of the car. There will be also available two new colors of body for the all-wheel Panda called Sicilia orange and Toscana green.

Interior of Panda 4x4 slightly differs from the two-wheel drive modification as well. Customers can choose from three new kinds of chair trimming with leather substitute insets that door panels are also decorated with.

Fiat Panda 4x4 next generation will be available with two kinds of engines: 0.9L 85 hp TwinAir turbocharged petrol engine and 1.3L 75 hp TwinJet II diesel engine. Both engines aggregate with a six-speed manual transmission.

At the front of a new car Fiat engineers set MacPherson suspension system and at the rear of it – torsion beam remade especially for the AWD modification. According to Fiat, this solution helped to improve acoustic and riding comfort comparing to previous generation, keeping all the off-road opportunities of the car.

Basic equipment of the car includes climate control system, audio system, backseat's head cushion, electrically operated rear-view mirrors, remote central locking and 15-inch light-alloy wheels.
