Nissan Qashqai next generation is going to be officially introduced at the Auto Show in Frankfurt in 2013 but the company has already started its tests.

It is obvious that the exterior of the new Qashqai will be seriously renovated and become more aggressive but will still remind Nissan SUVs and resemble Hi-Cross Concept prototype. Rumor has it, that from technical aspect Qashqai II will not undergo changes very much. Moreover, it's most likely that the car will be built on the same platform as its previous generation.

The main advantage of the new car over Qashqai I will be its interior. The car will be seriously changed from the inside and it concerns not only design. Cover materials will be more expensive and sound insulation will be improved.

1.6L atmospheric engine will give place to a turbocharged 1.2L engine developing quite a similar power – 113 hp. This engine is going to be more fuel efficient and eco-friendly. Besides, it is expected to be fitted with 1.6L 130 hp diesel engine as well. Qashqai II will be available in mono- and all-wheel-drive modifications.

More information on the new car will be available closer to its unveiling which is planned for autumn 2013. It is expected to hit the European market early in 2014.
