  • Porsche will introduce an all-wheel drive 911 in Paris

    Porsche is going to officially introduce an all-wheel modifications of 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4S at the Paris Motor Show 2012.

    These cars will be available as a “coupe” and “cabriolet” and will be 10 mm wider than a previous modification. Besides, all-wheel Porsche cars will be fitted with LED strip between two rear lights. The engine range won't be significantly changed. Porsche Carrera 4 will be fitted with an 3.4L 350 hp engine and Porsche Carrera 4S with an 3.8L 400 hp engine.

    The car is still available with a seven-speed manual transmission and seven-speed PDK transmission. However, according to experts, the dynamics of new cars will be improved. For example, Carrera 4 with PDK transmission accelerates up to 100 kph in 4.5 seconds and consumes 8.6L/100 km. The same indications for Porsche Carrera 4S will respectively be 4.1 seconds and 9.1L/100 km.

    As for available options, the new car will get an adaptive cruise control, panoramic roof, Porsche Active Safe and Sport Chrono systems. The car will hit the market at the end of this year. The first country where it will be possible to buy an all-wheel Porsche 911 is going to be Germany. The car will cost there starting from 97,558 for a coupe and €110,290 for a cabriolet.
