  • Three special versions of Jeep are unveiled

    Jeep is ready to introduce at the 2012 Paris Motor Show special versions of Grand Cherokee SRT8, Compass and Wrangler models meant for Europe that had already been demonstrated in the USA. As expected, automotive manufacturer does not plan to show any new models or concept cars in Paris.

    Special version of Grand Cherokee – SRT Limited Edition is colored in white and is called Bright White. Some details of its exterior are colored in black. Off-roader is fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels covered with chrome and black glazed elements. Interior of the special version is decorated with carbon elements, heated steering wheel covered with perforated leather and chairs, covered with Nappa leather and chamois. This SUV is fitted with 6.4L V8 468 hp HEMI engine and five-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to it Grand Cherokee accelerates up to 257 kph reaching 100 kph in less than 5 seconds.

    The special version of Jeep Wrangler is called Moab. It differs from a typical SUV with a special color of body, renewed hood, side panels covered with black plastic and 17-inch wheel disks, glazed and black as well. This modification is fitted with 2.8L turbocharged diesel engine and 3.6L V6 gasoline engine.

    The third car that will be introduced in Paris is Compass Overland modification. It is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, radiator grill with chrome elements, leather interior, Boston Acoustics audio system and multimedia system UConnect with 6.5-inch screen and 40 GB hard disk drive.

    Compass Overland is available with 2.2L 161 hp turbocharged diesel engine and its derated 134 hp version that only front wheel drive modification is fitted with.
