  • Toyota has found the way to make its cars cheaper

    Toyota is going to create three brand new front wheel drive platforms called TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) to build on its base in the future at least half of its vehicles. It will let Japanese car maker to reduce production cost by 30% due to the number of car components increase.

    According to TNGA conception, expenses will be lowered and customers will be completely satisfied with production quality. New architecture will combine basic vehicle functions, such as acceleration, braking and maneuvering, with ideal characteristics, ergonomics and maximum comfort for the driver and passengers.

    To get maximum benefit from building various vehicles on the same platforms and using common details, Toyota will put in new principle of interaction between designers and engineers. At the same time number of decision-makers will be cut down by 20%. According to Toyota representatives, if decisions make too many people, new technologies develop not because of creating something positive, but only due to negative circumstances elimination. Thanks to the new strategy Toyota will have an opportunity to simultaneously develop various groups of models, meant for different markets and this will gear up its production.

    New platform will make Toyota vehicles more stable, stylish and aggressive. Future Company's models will resemble Toyota NS4 plug-in hybrid concept, introduced at the Detroit Auto Show in early 2012.
