    Hot Pic Title

It seems that Toyota will become the largest world's vehicle manufacturer at year-end 2012.

According to the first three quarters of the year sales results, Toyota managed to sell 7.4 million cars of various brands (Toyota, Lexus, Scion and Daihatsu at most) worldwide. At the same time its main rival General Motors sold 6.95 million cars, becoming second in the list of most successful automobile manufacturers.

In the third quarter of 2012 Toyota worldwide sales grew up by 18%, thanks to a high demand for Camry and Prius models in the USA. According to experts, nobody expected that Toyota will return at the top spot so quickly.

Toyota may not become a leader of 2012 only because of China, where in September sales dropped by 49% due to a decayed relationship between Tokyo and Beijing. Local customers simply refuse to buy Japanese cars now. According to the results of this year's third quarter, Toyota managed to sell only 197,700 cars in China, which is 23% less than a year before. According to forecast, the fourth quarter is expected to be difficult as well.

Besides, Toyota and GM are rapidly pursued by Volkswagen, which sold 6.9 million cars at the end of this year's three quarters.
