1. In a car rental market where cars are routinely outrageously overpriced, I appreciated that EconomyBookings was only mildly outrageously overpriced at $903 and saved me about $250 on a two-week rental for a mid-sized SUV. My comparison is pre-pandemic where at the same location (Boston, MA, USA) for the same type (or larger) vehicle, for the same length of time in the same month of the year (July), I could rent for about $450 (plus or minus $100). Please work to bring prices back nearer to pre-pandemic levels! (I also just rented from Hertz in June a similar-sized SUV in California for $320 total for two weeks, so I know it s possible you can do this.) 2. I greatly appreciated Thrifty allowing me to choose from their selection of cars available in my selected mid-size SUV class. The first car they assigned was a Nissan Rogue and my knees literally were into the dashboard when the driver s seat was pushed back all the way (I am 6 2"). Ultimately, they let me take a Subaru Forrester which was super roomy and drove well; it even had a CD player!--making me wish I had taken a few old favorite CDs along on vacation. This experience makes me want to rent Subaru Forresters on all future trips--it would be nice if rentals paid for well in advance could enable us to choose the vehicle we want for two weeks.
