Van Car Rental in Italy

The price was right. The van was clean. I have rented with them before and was just over all good experience.

We came to Tuscany for our wedding and flew into Florence Airport needing a 9 seater vehicle to escort family down to the Loro Ciufenna region. Before arriving I noted that the reviews for Surprice Rentals were not the best, but thought I| d leave it and see how it goes. From start to finish we were impressed with the service, efficiency and general organisation of the van hire. A few bumps and scrapes were noted down accordingly, with a full walk-round with the staff member to ensure both parties were happy. The process was quick and timely and were on the road after 30 mins. People seem to think that when you purchase the rental you are fully insured, which you are definitely not. It comes with CDW as standard but I was under the impression we would need additional insurance coverage to ensure we were fully protected, meaning an extra £185. Which we all thought was very good. It also reduces your excess liability from €2000 down to €500, so a no brainer. The van was clean and tidy and drove beautifully. Upon return of the rental we waited less than 10 minutes, and the driver also dropped us back to the airport in the same van to avoid unloading 9 suitcases and into another vehicle. Which was appreciated. All in all I have to say it was a seamless experience and I would rent off them again in future.

Noleggiaire were really helpful pre visit as I emailed them directly to arrange extra driver and snow chains. The vehicle was great and easy pick and drop off. We did take a video and that was useful to prove we did not cause a damage. I| d recommend this.

I have seen lots of 1 star reviews but this couldn’t be more different for us. It took 5 mins to sort the paperwork at the airport, car ready, lovely Mercedes vito. Automatic too which really helped. Vehicle was superb. Drop off also really easy. Top service.

We booked a seven seater but got a nine seater minibus (Ford Tourneau Custom). The rear seats were very comfortable but the passenger seats in the front were stiff and could not be adjusted at all. The vehicle was in good condition spare a few dings and scratches on the body and the vehicle performed very well on the highways. Our biggest concern was driving such a big vehicle along the small streets of Italy and then the parking for this beast was a little hard to find due to its size. Overall a great experience from these guys but really wish the vehicle was just the seven seater for a better driving experience in Rome and other cities that we visited.

Took out the extra insurance which was a good job as someone broke into the car by smashing a side window. Absolutely no problem when returning the vehicle

It was great, they were very friendly and quick in processing us. I returned the car a bit dirty(we were 4 people and 3 kids) and the they said not to worry about it. Which was nice from them.

Overall the company service and car was great. However, after the car failed to start one day of the trip, we needed to investigate to get to the conclusion that it was empty of ad blue, which is a fluid needed for diesel cars. We weren’t informed or explained about this when taking the car. And after checking this when the car didn’t start, it appeared that a full tank of this fluid should have been enough for at least 2000 km. And we weren’t informed driving no more than 1000 by then - which only has one conclusion - that we weren’t informed driving given the car with almost empty ad blue. This was very frustrating. But this was the only issue, other than this all was really good.

The location of the car was not great, and being that it was our 1st time in Italy, when we landed and I tried to call..my phone did not work. Not that that is car rental companies problem, but since I could not speak to anyone about where the shuttle was, and with 6 other people (including an 80 year old) waiting to get on the road and out of the heat after a 9 hour flight...I started walking to tey and find the pick up spot. That was a little bit of a hike, but that is also where a few other rental places were located so seems normal for this business. Maybe located at the airport it closer would be more ideal. The staff was solid. They worked quickly. The 1st van I was given had a flat tire, but a 2nd was on standby so no big issue. The van was manual(stick) which took a little getting used to (been 20 years since I drove stick) but it was OK. Driving the hills of Italy is not easy for manual transmission though, so I would pick automatic in the future for sure. Drop off was pretty quick, and the ride to the airport was fast. The guys at the office were efficient and worked fast, which was needed when trying to catch a train! Price was much cheaper than my next rental as well, so that was GREAT. I would consider them again if the future for sure.
