I was sceptical about Economybookings, as there are negative reviews online. For me everything went perfectly and the price was much cheaper than on other sites. As I understand it, when You get insurance from Economybookings then in case of any damage or other insurance case, the rental conpany will first charge You for the damage and then Economybookings will reimburse. I may be wrong about this, but we were offered insurance by Europcar when picking up the car. I was confused, as I had booked the full insurance online. It was a bit difficult to understand the rental company employee s explanation because of a slight language barrier, but I think I finally understood correctly :) I also saw many people failing to get their deposit back. I was refunded 3 days after returning the car. It does say "maximum 30 days for returning the deposit" in the terms and agreement, so be ready for that. We booked a full-sized car and the deposit was 800€. I think You should book from well-known names through Economybookings. I chose "Keddy by Europcar" (never heard of this before, and actually I didn t even understand what the Keddy is about. We picked the car up and retured to Europcar, all documentation etc was with Europcar). In that case, Econmybookings is just another price comparison site. All further interactions etc will be between You and the rental company. As online reviews reflect, Economybookings might not be helpful in case of any dispute/issue with the rental company, so I would avoid unknown renters.
